3D POINT, the premiere of POINTING, Ponec Theatre, Prague 2003

Material: plywood, acrylic paint, UV string

This is a recycled Point from 2002 which had been made for the Sub Culture exhibition in the NoD Gallery. The object had been designed for interior and parts of it had to hang in space, so I used it for the premiere of my video POINTING. Ponec Theatre is great from the technical point of view and I made the most of it. I repainted the object using a different colour and made a weave out of a string glowing under the UV light. We used both UV and colour lights. That’s how these beautiful photographs by Tomas Trestik were made, documenting the short-lived installation which I then had to take apart.
